Transferring Saved Games?

SpiderBill64 ASKS:

Can I transfer my game progress from my old Xbox 360 console to my new Resident Evil 360 Elite console that I have purchased? I bought the new 360 for the larger hard drive, the newer (and better-cooled) console, and because it was a great deal with the included Resident Evil 5 game.

OXM SAYS:

If you want to keep a copy of your saves on your old hard drive, the best (and really, only) way to transfer saved games from one Xbox 360 to another is via a memory card. Just be sure to transfer them one at a time, and don't delete the original files until you are sure they work on your new console. Unfortunately, the Hard Drive Transfer Kit only moves game content, rather than copying it, and it will erase saved games from the old drive once it's moved them to the new one.

COMMENTS:

I use something like the Xport to back up those files. I certainly wouldn't want to lose all those hours. play blackjack play blackjack online play roulette play craps play slots play poker play casino games play bingo play cell phone casino games play mobile casino games make money online

Memory card transfer is the only way.blackjack forex software craps roulette bingo

reno 51-for -whylivewhy-take your hard drive to a friend's and use's his live acc, and down load what you need and then you have it on your hard drive.

reno 51-for SpiderBill 64,why buy a new console, when you can just buy a bigger hard drive.and keep the old console.?

Yes, Kojima did announce MGS Rising at E3 for the Xbox 360, but why do you think is not exclusive and if he's making this so you think he might go back to MGS 4 and make that available on the Xbox 360 as well?

ok i dont know if i am the only person with this problem or what but i game on a buget and due to some cut backs i have let my live account run out as well as my oxm. both of with i am sorry for doing.i also dont have cable moden out here either. ok well now to the point i bought saintsrow 2 about a week ago and now i see add ons avaliable. i cant just spend all this money(that i dont have) to get back on live.why cant things like this be put on a disc and sold. i feel like i am being forced to spend money.i paid over $50 for sr2. im not mad at that i love the game but im not rich. p.s. up untill this past year i have have been getting oxm every year since the first xbox so i ask where is the love?

I agree with killer cohen, the Xport was a good idea and Its nice to be able to backup all your gaming time.

My friend bought a Resident Evil Elite and he sold his old Xbox and kept his hard drive(120g as well) so he got Resident Evil 5 and a Red Elite and kept his files!

Well, Actually, one way I did this is to use an Xport or Xsata, (The latter is manufactured by Datel) which connect to store hard drive items on your computer.
Once on there, you can put the Xport/Xsata on the RE5 Xbox 360, and put the items on.
Only bad thing is, this is about $49.99 (Minus tax....). But, this can hold as much as you need, and very reliable.

While not recommended, this can also be used to put other things on your Xbox 360.
