This Week In Xbox - 5/29
WORDS BY: Taylor Cocke
The Boys are Back in Town
After the huge amount of rumors speculating the death of Commander Shepard due to the contents of that infamous first trailer, the E3 trailer gives us the apparently shocking revelation that Shepard is still alive, and, evidently, still blasting people away. Check out the trailer right over here at GameTrailers, and expect to get your hands on the title in early 2010.

VERDICT: Generally, BioWare, if you want us to be surprised that the lead in one of your games is coming back for a sequel, don't tell us WAY IN ADVANCE of the game's release.
More Snikt's Than Wolverine
Hidden deep within GameTrailers TV, we found some brand-new gameplay footage for the highly anticipated Aliens vs Predator first person shooter. The video shows us quite a few of the gameplay elements from the viewpoint of one of the Predators, including the various different view modes that they can use and several of the different weapons available for the stealthy monsters. You can see the video right here.

VERDICT: Oh man, so gory. And fast. That looks absolutely wonderful. In a huge amount of dismemberments sort of way.
Fabulous!
According to 1Up, Rockstar has announced its new DLC for the hugely acclaimed Grand Theft Auto IV. The Ballad of Gay Tony, while not giving you the opportunity to play the titular character, will place you in the shoes of Luis Lopez, an assistant to the infamous nightclub owner himself, who will be taking on various missions within the seedy underbelly of the Liberty City nightclub scene. The content will be available on Xbox live in the fall for 1600 Microsoft Points ($20) or in a disk that also contains the previous content, The Lost and Damned for $40.
VERDICT: Well if it's anywhere near the quality of The Lost and Damned, be ready for new GTA IV content to keep the game entertaining until the next entry in the series.
Get Your Slayin' Hand Ready
BioWare's other huge RPG, Dragon Age: Origins, has gotten the trailer treatment in preparation for E3. After a particularly brutal walk up to the door to what we presume is dragon-inhabited cave, we are treated to the still-unnamed protagonist partaking in yet more brutality and then an actual release date: October 20. You can see the new trailer right over here.

VERDICT: Okay, we get it BioWare, your game is going to be brutal. But do we really need that horrendous metalcore at the end of the trailer?
Let's Go Marines!
Continuing with the pre-E3 trailer madness, Infinity Ward has deemed the internet worthy of a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming Modern Warfare 2. It seems that the next title in the series will be picking up the story right after the events of Call of Duty 4, and will be doing so in the most intense of manners. A huge number of new, colorful environments takes center stage in the trailer, which you can examine for yourself right here at Joystiq.

VERDICT: I have nothing snarky to say about this. It's just too awesome looking.

I think a serious overhaul is what the Predator series (is it really even a series for this game or rather a string of D+ discs?) needed if it is to survive. The history of it is strange, though. It didn't evolve like COD, Mario, or Ghost Recon. I really do hand it to the crew working on it and I hope they hit it out of the park.

Dude i cant wait for AVP to come to Xbox 360! I loved their old game on computer! Its the reason i bought Halo for Xbox! I hope they balance the 3 sides better and slow down the multiplayer a little.

I Need to vent, I am a very avid reader of OXM and I have every single OXM Disk from 1-98 and for some reason at #96 they desided to stop makeing the dvd case. I know this is petty but when you have collected almost 100 of anything and at # 96 they deside to change the packageing it is a little upsetting. I even went as far as forgoing the subscription (after talking to several OXM people) because I could not get one with a dvd box (yes I know the cost differance). OXM isn't even giving us the cardboard sleave that they did in the past to make our own case, just some 1/2 cent cd sleave to save some money. You will have me for two more issues but I'm not sure after that. Maybe that dam GI will have better info?...sigh!
