Heads Up — 9/25

Welcome back to our weekly online column, Heads Up. If you’ve ever searched around the internet looking for a current report on everything the Xbox 360 has to offer, you’ve no doubt hit numerous dead-ends. Heads Up attempts to alleviate your frustrations by offering a quick and complete guide to what you may have missed over the past week, online and in stores.

With the return of autumn comes another round of Lego madness, the newest installment of the Brothers in Arms series, and 100 miles of tough terrain. But while the weather’s getting colder, the Marketplace is just warming up. The long-awaited Rush album and six bonus tracks hit the digital shelves on top of a handful of tasty trailers and the biggest batch of movies yet. But even great classic rock and 30-odd flicks can’t hold a candle to a decade-old favorite like our designated Jewel of the Week.

 

JEWEL OF THE WEEK:

Duke Nukem 3D

We may have forgotten about grunge apparel and the Macarena, but some things are never meant to be abandoned. Say hello again to Duke Nukem, the gun-totin’, bubble-gum chewin’ badass with a powerful knack for offing alien scum. In 1996, he saved Los Angeles, and he’s back to do it again on Xbox Live Arcade in the return of Duke Nukem 3D. This downloadable version includes the full game, along with an additional episode and online co-op play for extra alien-squashing mayhem… just the way Duke likes it.
