Welcome to our new weekly online column! If you’ve ever searched the internet looking for a current report on everything that Xbox Live Marketplace has to offer, you’ve no doubt hit numerous dead-ends. Heads Up alleviates your frustrations by offering a quick and complete guide to what you may have missed over the past week both on Marketplace and in stores. It’s our new release calendar, hopefully as complete as it can be. This week is loaded with retail games.

Just one game released last week, but this week we have NINE! The competition for your cash is rough with Battlefied: Bad Company, Top Spin 3, and Supreme Commander all pulling in great initial reviews. Whether you're a sports fan, RPG fan, RTS fan, or even just a movie fan, this week has plenty to offer.

JEWEL OF THE WEEK:

Top Spin 3

Diehard fans of Halo, Gears of War, or Mass Effect are not the first people expected to pick up and play a tennis game. In fact, many of you have probably never even heard the name Roger Federer let alone dreamed of controlling his serves, slams, and spins. Top Spin 3, however, received at 9.0 rating in the August edition of OXM, making it an Editor’s Choice game. That should not be taken for granted as Top Spin 3 has many quality features to appeal to gamers of all types. See the review for more.

Other games to receive a 9.0? Call of Duty 2, GRAW 2, Splinter Cell Double Agent, Skate… need I say more?
